About Us

Matthew is a Physician Assistant specializing in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation. He graduated from Drexel University earning his Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. He received his medical training from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where he completed his Master’s degree in Health Science and obtained a Physician Assistant certificate. Since then, Matthew has been practicing medicine with experience treating orthopedic medical emergencies as well as chronic spinal conditions. After working in the medical field treating chronic back and neck pain for years, he quickly realized that the traditional medical system is lacking an effective, holistic method that does not involve medications, injections or surgery. While these methods are sometimes necessary, they are over-prescribed.
We strongly believe that a detailed assessment can reveal movement patterns and sustained postures that are preventing recovery. When these patterns are addressed they can be the solution to persistent pain that has not responded to other therapies. Matthew has become intimately familiar with the method developed by Dr. Stuart McGill, and has implemented it into his own practice as a McGill Certified Clinician. The method is based upon a thorough assessment leading to a precise diagnosis and understanding of pain triggers. He has also studied the work of other internationally recognized experts in the field of musculoskeletal rehabilitation, also becoming certified in the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SMFA). He works with active adults and athletes to help regain control of their back pain.
